Nizamabad MP Madhu Yashki Goud met AICC emissary to the state Vayalar Ravi in Delhi on Thursday night.
The MP, whose volte-face on the issue of resignations drew widespread criticism from Telangana votaries, is understood to have urged Ravi to prevail upon the Congress high command to take a positive decision on Telagnana statehood at the earliest.
Yashki told the AICC leader that further delay would only damage the electoral prospects of the Congress in the Telagnana region.
