Fast-track court will be set up: SP

The police will take all necessary steps for quick disposal of the double murder case, possibly within a month, by establishing a fast-track court, district superintendent of police BV Ramana Kumar has said.

Producing the three accused _ SK Imtiaz Ahmed, G Manohar and T Vamsikrishna before the media here on Wednesday, he said they would try for award of capital punishment to the accused.

He said cases were booked under Sec 302 for murdering and under Sec 397 for injuring the inmates while looting the property.  The accused committed the robbery for money to set up a dairy farm, he said.

Imtiaz holds a diploma in architecture and did the decoration work in Dinakar Reddy’s house and college sometime ago.

He said the police were ascertaining whether Manohar and Vamsikrishna were majors or minors by going through their certificates.

Police produced the accused before the 5th additional magistrate and sought permission for further interrogation, it is learnt.
