Call it the revenge of the girls, a stinging riposte to oft-heard complaints that women invite trouble by dressing provocatively. Parents of girl students of the Zilla Parishad High School, Vijalapuram in Ramakuppam mandal in Chittoor district have complained against two male teachers for dressing provocatively.

The two teachers often wear tight T-shirts that show off their rippling musculature and low-hang jeans which, um, embarrass their daughters, the complaint went.

The girl students and families submitted a memorandum to collector Solomon Arokiaraj recently seeking action against the two teachers. The collector has forwarded the complaint to deputy educational officer (DEO) B Pratap Reddy.

The two men teach the higher classes in the school. Some of their girl pupils apparently found their sir’s dress sense distracting and complained to their parents. The parents first complained to the headmaster but the men persisted with their tight clothing.
