17 more Gulf victims return

The second batch of illegal immigrants from Gulf, consisting of 17 persons, returned to Andhra Pradesh here Sunday.

Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy met the returnees at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport here and assured them of according top priority in government welfare schemes such as housing and employment.  As many as 20 victims had arrived on Saturday.

The government had recently decided to bring back around 300 of gulf victims back to the state. The entire expenditure is being borne by the state.
