Even as the chief minister was eager to visit rain-affected areas in the state and console farmers, the election code came in his way of travel. Reddy though of visiting a couple of places where farmers incurred losses due to untimely rains, but district officials were unwilling to make arrangements as there was an election code for the ensuing MLC elections in place.
