Hold your tongue, VH tells Sharmila

Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao has asked YSR Congress leader Sharmila, who is firing salvos at the AICC leadership during her on-going walkathon, to hold her tongue. Otherwise, people of the state will teach a fitting lesson for her remarks against AICC chief Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi, he said.

Rao said Sharmila or any member of her family had no moral right to criticise Sonia and Rahul, “who are committed to the well-being of the people of the country”.

He advised chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana to hold extensive brainstorming sessions at all levels in the party to gear up the cadres for the 2014 polls.

“Taking a cue from the string of meetings being held by party vice-president Rahul Gandhi to prepare the party leaders and workers for the ensuing general elections, the chief minister and the PCC chief too should start holding meetings with party cadres at all levels to make them ready for the polls. ,” he said.
