The special court for CBI cases on Tuesday dismissed the bail petition of mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy’s personal assistant K Mehfuz Ali Khan, an accused in the illegal iron-ore mining case involving Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC).
After hearing arguments of both sides, the special court judge U Durga Prasad Rao contended that granting bail for Ali Khan would adversely affect further investigation and dismissed the petition.
Meanwhile, the court has posted arguments over the bail petition of Gali Janardhan Reddy to March 6.
