Plan for 27,000 VRO offices

The government will set up VRO offices in 27,000 villages in the state in a month to take the revenue administration to the doorstep of people, revenue minister N Rghuveera Reddy has said.

Speaking at a regional revenue officers’ conference here on Tuesday, he asked joint collectors to identify available government buildings  in villages, take up their renovation, repairs if required, soon for setting up the VRO offices.

He said plans were afoot to offer 171 more revenue services at Mee Seva centres in a couple of months and to bring out a citizen’s charter on revenue services.
