CM to start road works on 1st

Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will have a busy day in the city on June 1 with a series of inaugurations and foundation-laying ceremonies.

According to the CM’s office, Kiran Kumar Reddy is scheduled to launch the Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme for LPG consumers at the Public Gardens at Nampally. Later, he will lay the foundation stone for road widening works from Botanical Gardens to the old Bombay highway via Masjidbanda village at the Botanical Gardens Junction in Kondapur.

Next, between 11.40 am and 11.50 am, he will lay the foundation for the construction of a flyover at Tolichowki junction and widening of the road from Tolichowki junction to Gachibowli.

He will also lay the foundation for road widening at Nandanavanm from Moghalkanala to Puranapul, construction of a link road from Miyapur to Yellammabanda road and for Krishna Phase-III at Sahebnagar in Vananstalipuram where he will address a public meeting.

Municipal commissioner MT Krishna Babu said the flyover at Towlichowki would be ready in 18 months and the other works in one year.

MLAs M Bikshapathi Yadav and Afsar Khan, corporators and officials inspected the Botanical Gardens, Towlichowki and MoghalkaNala areas.
