State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) secretary D Subramanyam, who rapped the police on Sunday for keeping two minors in custody, had a bitter experience here Monday when the cops obstructed him from inspecting the SVR Ruia hospital.

Two constables Srinivasulu and Syam Sundar obstructed Subramanyam when he reached the hospital on Monday for an inspection. They reportedly did not allow the SHRC secretary to enter the wards even after the latter disclosed his identity and purpose of visit to the cops.

Irked by this, a miffed Subramanyam took up the issue with Tirupati Urban SP SV Rajasekhar Babu over phone after which the constables allowed him to the wards.
