At least eight Osmania University Joint Action Committee students were arrested on Monday night for protesting against minister of primary education, Shailajanath. The students were picked up from the minister’s quarters at Banjara Hills where they were protesting and were sent to the Banjara Hills police station. Later, they were released.
“We demand the resignation of the tainted minister. He has used black money to stop the Telangana agitation, as he spearheads the united Andhra movement. The sanctity of his post has been lost now, after what he has done,” said M Krishank, OUJAC spokesperson.
