Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has expressed shock and anguish on the brutal attack by Maoists on Congress leaders in Chhattisgarh on Saturday.
In a statement here on Sunday, Reddy condemned the killing of 27 people by Maoists in Chhattisgarh, saying that violence had no place in a democracy. It was heinous and inhuman to attack innocent people and the barbaric act had to be condemned by one and all, he said.
The chief minister expressed grief and extended heartfelt condolences to the members of the families of Chhattisgarh state Congress president and others who lost their lives.
Senior Congress leader Mahendra Karma was killed and former Union minister VC Shukla injured in the attack.
