Input subsidy for farmers by June 5

The input subsidy to farmers affected by Neealm cyclone and drought in 2012 would be credited to their bank accounts.

As the government had sanctioned `1,662 crore as inputs subsidy, revenue minister N Raghuveera Reddy asked the collectors of all districts to submit the bank account details of farmers, who are eligible for payment of subsidy.

In case the farmers do not have bank accounts, the collectors should take the initiative and have them open accounts. He wanted the payment of subsidy to be completed by June 5, an official press release said on Wednesday.
