'No T-bill in winter session of Parliament'

Despite the failure of his recent predictions on Telangana, Congress MP from Vijayawada, Lagadapati Rajagopal, has yet again made another prophecy.

Even though his peers and even Union ministers like Kavuri Sambasiva Rao and D Purandeswari are openly claiming that they would not be able stall the process of bifurcation, Rajagopal is not ready to agree to it.

The MP on Sunday claimed that Telangana bill will not be tabled in the ensuing winter session of Parliament and hence, he is confident that the bifurcation process would be halted soon after the announcement Assembly poll results of four states on December 8.

Interestingly, the maverick MP has made these remarks at a time when Purandeswari alleged that some of her peers from Seemandhra were trying to hoodwink people by telling them that they would stall bifurcation with an eye on “selfish political gains”.

Speaking at “Meet the Press”, organised by the AP Journalists Forum here on Sunday, Lagadapati said: “There is a possibility that bifurcation ill be halted as the UPA government will be reduced to a minority.”
