The TRS has urged chief secretary PK Mohanty to stop issuing orders sanctioning `6,000 crore to a drinking water scheme intended for chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s native Chittoor district.
TRS MLA T Harish Rao submitted a memorandum to this effect to the chief secretary here on Thursday.He alleged that the State accorded sanction to an integrated water supply scheme for Chittoor district without Cabinet approval. Almost eight districts in the Telangana region were more drought prone than Chittoor.
