Heat upon Centre, Samaikyandhra bandh on September 24

SRVP, APNGOs plan series of agitations till Sept 29; APNGOs association president P Ashok Babu asks Seemandhra MLAs to defeat any pro-Telangana Bill in Assembly

Samaikya Rastra Parirakshana Vedika (SRPV) and the APNGOs have called a bandh on Sept 24 and announced protests till Sept 29 to keep the heat on the Centre against bifurcation.

According to APNGOs Association president P Ashok Babu, they were determined to go to any extent to keep the state united and would not hesitate to make any sacrifice that might be needed.

He said if necessary they would lead another delegation to Delhi to halt the process for formation of Telangana state. “In the next fortnight, we will intensify the agitation for Samaikyandhra further,” he said and made an appeal to all the 175 MLAs in Seemandhra to defeat any Bill that the Centre might send on formation of Telangana state.

Ashok Babu was critical of the Seemandhra ministers saying there was no need for them to resign. “This is ridiculous. Let them go to their respective constituencies and say the same thing. People would tell them what they should do,” he said.
