Srisailam dam almost at full capacity

Heavy inflows from the Jurala project and the Tungabhadra river since the past ten days into the Srisailam dam have resulted in the dam swelling to almost its full capacity of 885 ft on Thursday. The current level of the dam is 884.80 ft.

Around 1,90,000 cusecs of water from the Jurala project and another 30,000 cusecs from the Sunkesula dam over the Tungabhadra river have made their way into the Srisailam dam, Sudheer Babu, Srisailam dam AE said.

Nearly 50 TMC of flood water has flown into the dam since the past days.
