Terming the AP Reorganisation Bill draft as incomplete and defective, TDP Seemandhra leader Payyavula Keshav on Tuesday demanded that chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy ensure that a complete T-bill is tabled in the House by Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters here at the TDLP office, Keshav said if the chief minister fails to table a complete bill, then we will conclude that he is in favour of state bifurcation.
TDP wants to discuss the T-bill, but as it does not contain complete information, we are not able to take up the issues, he said. “Let the government provide complete information about the state. We will not only allow discussion, but also take part in it,” he said.
Coming down heavily on Anam Ramanarayan Reddy, he said the finance minister was behaving irresponsibly and asking members to go through state government’s website for information about the state.
The information provided in the T-bill draft is insufficient to discuss the issues of concern to the people of Seemandhra and it would be better if the state government provideed complete information about the state, he said. “There is no mention of revenue sharing, power, irrigation, Hyderabad’s revenue, pensions of retired government employees and other important issues. Until these issues are clear, how can a discussion take place?” he asked.
Finding fault with YSR Congress members demanding a resolution on Samikyandhra, the TDP leader said passing a resolution in favour of Samikyandhra would be of no use as the Centre would not accept it. “Even if the state Assembly passes a resolution in favour of Samikyandhra, still the House has to discuss the T-bill. Therefore, it would be better if they give up their demand and take part in the discussion,” he remarked.
