VISAKHAPATNAM: All arrangements have been made for the open auction of 74 plots in 12 VUDA layouts along with 44 leftover plots in Sontyam layout, at Swarna Bharati Indoor Stadium in the city on Saturday and Sunday.
Due to administrative reasons, the VUDA authorities have withdrawn six plots from the auction. VUDA vice-chairman N Yuvaraj inspected the auction venue Friday evening and directed the officials to avoid inconvenience to applicants during the auction.
The auction will be conducted for 64 residential plots in Cyber Valley Sector-I and II, Madhurawada Government Lands layout, Chinamushidiwada, MVP, Kummaripalem, Adibhatla Nagar, Bheemili, Kapuluppada VUDA-Chilukuri joint venture and Kanapaka Ayyanapeta layouts from 10 am Saturday. The auction for a school site and two commercial plots in Kurmannapalem Town Centre layout and seven commercial plots in Kapuluppada VUDA-Chilukuri joint venture layout will be conducted on Sunday followed by the auction for remaining 44 plots in Sontyam layout. The six plots deleted from the auction include the odd bit in MVP layout, plot no.4 in Bheemili layout, plot no.219 C in Kapuluppada VUDA-Chilukuri joint venture layout and plot no.23, 36, 44 and 45 in Madhurawada Government Lands layout.
Altogether, 29 plots were deleted from the present auction and the same was informed to the applicants through media and the VUDA official website so far.
Special Counters at the Venue
Applicants are informed to attend the auction venue with two copies of auction slips one hour in advance on Saturday for verification and obtaining permission to participate in the auction. Special counters will be arranged with VUDA staff to assist the applicants. Indian Overseas Bank-VUDA branch is arranging its counter to extend banking services to the applicants for issue of additional demand drafts and receipt of 10 per cent spot payment.
