Leaders Vow to Work for Kapu’s Welfare

Deputy chief minister Nimmakayala China Rajappa highlighted the need for including Kapu community in BC category and asked the Kapus to hold meetings at mandal level on the 15th of every month to connect with the people.

VIJAYAWADA: Deputy chief minister Nimmakayala China Rajappa highlighted the need for including Kapu community in BC category and asked the Kapus to hold meetings at mandal level on the 15th of every month to connect with the people.

Speaking at a meet organised by Vijayawada Kapu community to felicitate the newly-elected TDP representatives from the community here Sunday, he praised cine actor and Jana Sena Party president Pavan Kalyan for his contribution in the victory of TDP-BJP combine in the recently held elections.

Endowments Minister P Manikyala Rao assured that all the promises made for the welfare of Kapu’s by the CM will be fulfilled. On the occasion, MLA Bonda Umamaheshwara Rao said that he will play a key role in keeping the community united and promised that the CM will be apprised about the problems and issues of Kapus.

Revathi, a native of Vijayawada, who secured a rank in the civil service examination, was felicitated by the deputy CM. He also awarded a certificate to Amani, a classical dancer, who received a place in the Guinness book of world records recently.
