VIJAYAWADA: After months of sweltering heat, the city received a much needed respite on Sunday as rains lashed different parts of Vijayawada, putting a break to the extended summer.
The rain which started a little late in the evening, continued well past 9 PM, and brought down the mercury levels. However, areas like Governorpet, Suryaraopet and parts of Eluru road witnessed the problem of water logging due to the rain.
