RAJAHMUNDRY: Rajahmundry Urban Police department is using latest technology to get results from all its projects. As part of it, the department is using ‘beat tracking system’ for effective implementation of beat duties in the urban district.
Because of this, the staff on beat duty have been discharging their duties properly as the higher-ups can monitor their movements - whether they are on duty or taking rest at home.
The system was applied to beat duty staff, highway mobile parties and anti-goonda squads in the urban district.
Quadrivium Software Private Limited created a special software which can be uploaded in the mobile phones. The officials can know the movements of the beat constables through mobile phone. Each step of the beat duty staff can be perceived through the Google map.
Special codes were given to each mobile. The beat constables should send their photo after signing in the respective beat registers. The officials can also know whether the beat duty staff switched off the phone and battery charging levels of their cell phones.
To reduce the crime rate in the urban district, superintendent of police TRK Murthi resorted to the beat tracking system for effective implementation of beat duties.
