Stop Cong Bashing, Focus on Loan Waivers: Malladi Vishnu to Babu

Former MLA Malladi Vishnu has hit out at chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for not giving clarity on waiving off farm and DWCRA loans and asked the latter to stop blaming the Congress which had indeed developed the state.

VIJAYAWADA: Former MLA Malladi Vishnu has hit out at chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for not giving clarity on waiving off farm and DWCRA loans and asked the latter to stop blaming the Congress which had indeed developed the state. He further said that the state Congress would release a report on the growth made in Andhra Pradesh during its regime from 2004 to 2014.

Addressing a press conference here Sunday, the former MLA questioned why the Chandrababu government was unable to take a final call on the loan waiver to farmers and DWCRA women and added that almost 12,000 DWCRA groups are looking for it.

“Instead of finding solutions, Babu is blaming the Congress for the problems,” Vishnu said and reminded that Chandrababu was the one who submitted a letter in favour of the bifurcation twice.

Vishnu alleged that the TDP supremo was non-committal on the implementation of the farm loan waiver and added that it was clearly revealed during the APNGOs felicitation Saturday, where he did not make any point on the loan waivers.

Vishnu alleged that APNGO president P Ashok Babu was trying to cozy up to the TDP.

“NGO leaders or representatives should not be in favour of any party. Ashok Babu colluded with Chandrababu Naidu. How could the anti-bifurcation protesters felicitate the man who was responsible for it?” he questioned.

He added that KE Krishna Murthy’s demand to rename Indira Sagar project as Taraka Rama project was not correct as 80 per cent of the project was completed because of the Congress. City Congress president Adapa Nagendra and other party activists were present at the press meet.
