VIJAYAWADA: Vijayawada municipal  commissioner C Hari Kiran directed the officials to speed up construction of community halls in Kasturibaipet and Kandrika Friday. As a part of city tour, he examined the community hall construction work at Kasturibaipet and gave instructions to the contractors and officials to complete the work soon and make it available for the people. He checked the library in municipal employees colony on the occasion.

Later, the commissioner inspected the ramp construction work in Rajarajeswaripet and to control traffic, he wanted a speed-breaker near the ramp.

The commissioner expressed his disappointment with the delay in community hall’s construction at Kandrika and directed the engineers and contractors to expedite the work. He also gave instructions to start the water distribution pipeline works at the reservoir in the UDA Colony.

Executive engineer PVK Bhaskar, deputy executive engineers Subba Rao and others accompanied the commissioner.
