VIJAYAWADA: The district treasury officer (DTO) said that all the payments to government employees will be made online, and that salaries will be withheld if any employee fails to register their details with the treasury office before August 1.

Speaking at a meeting with the department officials here Friday, DTO KDVM Prasad Babu said that the e-payment method will be first implemented in Vijayawada and Nuzvid divisions in the district, and directed the officials to collect the details of all the employees who receive salaries from the treasury.

The DTO also added that the officials should collect and incorporate the details in the bills that they will submit for the month of July. Officers can submit their bills by logging onto ap.treasury.gov.in

The employees should submit a photocopy of bank passbook, details of the bank, account number, employee name and branch IFSC code. The DTO said that salary will be credited into the accounts directly after verifying the bills and that doubts regarding the linking procedure could be clarified by visiting the district treasury office.
