100-kg Ganja Seized, Two Held

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Narsipatnam police seized 100 kg dry ganja, worth Rs 10 lakh, and arrested two persons Sunday.

According to sources, the police during their routine vehicular check-ups on the town’s outskirts spotted the two ganja smugglers. The arrested have been identified as T Suman of Telangana and Rakshit of Madhya Pradesh. Narsipatnam inspector of police Ramakrishna Choudary said that during the routine vehicular check-up they had arrested the duo and recovered the hemp. The police said that the duo procured the weed from remote areas of Vizag agency to transport it to Hyderabad. A case has been registered.
