VISAKHAPATNAM: The Visakhapatnam chapter of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India organised a professional development meet on ‘Post Budget Analysis-Union Budget 2014-15’ here Sunday. Commissioner of Customs, Visakhapatnam, C Rajendiran was the chief guest.
Rajendiran addressed the students on changes in customs, Central excise and service tax laws in the Union budget. He also appealed to the professionals and the industrialists to be a part of nation building by sticking to ethical practices in trade and industry. Renowned CA VSN Murthy and Service Tax consultant G Prabhakar Sastry shared views on the changes in direct and indirect taxes in the latest budget.
Chapter secretary T Harinarayana, chairman U Prakash, treasurer of Southern India Regional Council of ICAI K Sanyasi Rao and others were present.
