Scholarship for SC Students to Study Abroad

VIJAYAWADA: The state government under the Ambedkar Overseas Vidyanidhi (AOV) scheme has invited applications from Scheduled Caste students who are interested in pursuing higher education in Medicine, Engineering, Pharmacy and other courses in the US, London, Australia, Canada and Singapore.

The AOV is a scheme under the social welfare department, intended to provide overseas education for the SC students.

Applicants must clear any of the exams (GRE, GMAT, TOEFL and IELTS) and should have at least 60 per cent in their graduation courses. The family income of the applicant must not exceed `2 lakh a year. Students should be below 35 years of age and must have an I-20 certificate.

A total of `10 lakh towards scholarship and `5 lakh as education loan will be given to the eligible candidates in two instalments.

Interested students can fill the application online at www.apepass.cgg.gov.in
