Uninterrupted Power to Villages from Oct: Kodela

Assembly speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao Tuesday toured villages in the district as a part of the ‘Pragathi Darsini’ — a village development programme and said that the government would try supplying uninterrupted power to all the villages by October.

GUNTUR: Assembly speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao Tuesday toured villages in the district as a part of the ‘Pragathi Darsini’ — a village development programme and said that the government would try supplying uninterrupted power to all the villages by October.

Siva Prasada Rao visited Mokkapadu, Reddigudem, Bharmanapalli and Rajupalem villages in the district and launched cement concrete (CC) road projects in all the four villages. He inaugurated Anganwadi centre at Mokkapadu village and ordered the officials to provide nutritional food for pregnant women and children at the anganwadi centre. Later, he distributed gas stoves and cylinders to the anganwadi workers.

Addressing the villagers at Mokkapadu, he said that the chief minister stood by his promise of waiving off farm and DWCRA loans and observed that Andhra Pradesh was the first state to do so.
