BKS Warns of Stir over Farm Loan Waiver

The Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (BKS) has demanded that the state government waive the farm loans before August 10 and warned that an agitation will be launched if the government fails to do so.

VIJAYAWADA: The Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (BKS) has demanded that the state government waive the farm loans before August 10 and warned that an agitation will be launched if the government fails to do so.

Addressing the state committee meeting here Friday, state president of BKS BH Vijaya Rama Raju said that the TD government should take the responsibility of paying the interest of farm loans as the delay in announcement of final decision on loan waiver by the government had resulted in 7 per cent rise in interest rate.

BKS committee has decided to conduct a rally on September 26 to show the strength of farmers in the state.

BKS executive members G Rambabu, M Nagendra Prasad, V Sidda Reddy and others were present.
