Sadaram Camps at GGH Tomorrow

GUNTUR: The district administration is organising Software for Assessment of Disability Access, Rehabilitation and Empowerment (SADARAM) camps for the physically challenged at GGH (Guntur General Hospital) on July 28, collector Kantilal Dande has said.

By undergoing tests at SADARAM camps, the eligible disabled will get certificates, which would help them get benefits from the government in the form of pensions, scholarships, and travel concessions. According to the statistics obtained from the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), 53,609 disabled people have undergone tests at SADARAM camps and another 5,895 are yet to utilise the service. As many as 40,196 out of 53,609 disabled people are receiving pension from the government.
