VIJAYAWADA: Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar will formally inaugurate the PVP Square Mall located on MG Road in the city on August 1, said PVP Square managing director Sai Padma Potluri here Wednesday.
Addressing a press conference, she said that the mall was developed with a view to provide world-class social infrastructure with seamless experience and a one-stop family destination that caters to all sections of the people in Vijayawada, a Tier II city that is poised to assume a cosmopolitan colour soon. She hoped that the PVP Square Mall, constructed at a cost of `125 crore, would be biggest mall going for the inauguration in Andhra Pradesh.
Padma said that the company had followed the norms of the national building code (NBC) and also obtained all the required permissions from various government departments including the Occupancy Certificate from the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) and added that the mall would provide employment to 800 to 1,000 people directly or indirectly.
“While the total area of the mall is 4.27 lakh sft, we have made 12 meters excavation from the natural ground level for the basement and constructed three basements. The building has G+5 floors,” she said and added that the mall consists of six-screen multiplex, Cinepolis, besides accessory stores, food courts, white goods outlets, supermarkets etc.
“Be it kids, parents or senior citizens, every need will be fulfilled conveniently, in this one-stop destination. It will be affordable to all sections,” she added.
Chairman and managing director of PVP Ventures Potluri Vara Prasad was also present.
