GUNTUR: Guntur rural SP PHD Ramakrishna launched Sannihitam and Varadhi programmes at District Police Office in Guntur Wednesday to ensure quick disposal of various problems and complaints of people and police personnel.
While Sannihitam is for common people, Varadhi is for police personnel. Special softwares have been developed for both the programmes to process the requests.
On the occasion, Ramkrishna said that the Sannihitam would develop rapport between police and public and bridges the gulf between them. Through Sannihitam people can get the services of petition inquiries, no- objection certificates for petrol bunks, hotels, theatres, arms licences and renewals, among others. Within a week of people approaching the Sannihitam, they will be informed of their petition’s status.
The Varadhi caters to the police personnel and helps them in all administrative and service matters like transfers, promotions, retirement benefits, sanction of leaves, medical reimbursement, among others.
A separate mobile number is designated for the Varadhi and just by giving a SMS, police personnel’s petitions will be tracked and addressed within a week.
