‘Grama Darsini’ to Make a Bow Thursday

VISAKHAPATNAM : Collector N Yuvaraj has issued guidelines to the district and mandal officials to maintain good rapport with the people. Addressing a meet here Monday, he said the ‘Grama Darsini’ programme would be launched Thursday. All mandal-level officials, led by a coordinating officer of the mandal, should visit one village and make an overnight stay at the SW hostels. A district-level official would be appointed as a coordinating officer who would interact with other district-level officials to solve issues quickly.

The collector directed the MDO, MRO, medical officer of the PHC and all other mandal-level officials to be present at the ‘Grama Darsini’ programme.

The SW deputy director has been appointed as nodal officer, while the ZP CEO has been deputed as a supervising authority of the ‘PM Jan Dhan Yojana’

Meanwhile, the collector directed the officials to complete Aadhaar seeding work by Sept 5. Ration would be released through the Public Distribution System from Thursday to those who have Aadhar cards, he informed.

Yuvraj also directed the village-level officials to take steps on war-foot basis to ensure that everybody received their Aadhar numbers so that they can be linked to PDS.
