Rly Engineer Injured in Train Mishap

TANUKU:  A railway engineer was injured when he was dragged by a passenger train at Tanuku railway station here Wednesday. He was rushed to a private hospital in Vijayawada where he is undergoing treatment.

According to the railway police, 48-year-old Pulaparthi Manikyala Rao was working as a track engineer in Tanuku. He was inspecting the railway track near the station along with the gangmen. At the same time, a passenger train proceeding to Rajahmundry from Bhimavaram was passing through the track. The engineer did not notice it and the train dragged him to some distance. The gangmen stopped the train immediately and shifted Rao to a private hospital
