VISAKHAPATNAM: Two persons tried to kill their brother-in-law at Peethalavanipalem under the Three Town (MVP Zone) police station limits in the city Thursday. He was shifted to a hospital and is undergoing treatment.
According to sources, D Govindu (40), a GVMC employee, was attacked by his brothers-in-law, N Srinivas and N Ramesh, for allegedly harassing his wife. Govindu was stabbed with a knife and hit with an iron rod near his home Thursday evening.
He is now undergoing treatment at KGH where his condition is said to be stable. Police said that Govindu’s brothers-in-law attacked Govindu for harassing their sister for the past few months over petty reasons. Investigation is on.
