VIJAYAWADA: Divisional railway manager Pradeep Kumar has appealed to the public to be careful at manned and un-manned level crossings, and cautioned against crossing the railway tracks from under the boom gate, which is punishable under the Motor Vehicle Act.
He conducted a surprise check at Madhuranagar Manned Level Crossing Gate here Friday, as part of the on-going awareness drive launched by the Indian Railways in the wake of the recent accident in Medak district. Senior divisional security commissioner ( RPF) Ramesh Chander, senior divisional safety officer, M Prasad, divisional engineer ( East) Srinivas Rao and senior public relations officer FR Michael accompanied him.
