VIJAYAWADA: A third-year engineering student committed suicide by consuming pesticide here Wednesday. The victim was identified as Miryala Satish of Pottisriramulu College of Engineering and Technology and a native of Kanuru village.
According to the II-Town police, Satish was recently detained from the college for his poor performance. However, he attended a class Wednesday morning and disappeared from the college soon after. But then, he was found lying unconscious under a tractor near KBN College, having consumed pesticide. The passersby immediately called an ambulance and rushed him to the Government General Hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.
The II-Town police said that reasons for the suicide are yet to be ascertained.
