GUNTUR: A 20-year-old youth died and 16 were injured as a private travel bus rammed a stationary lorry in the early hours of Friday. The KMBT Travels bus was going to Ongole from Hyderabad.
According to Rompicherla SI V Suresh, the accident occurred at 4 am. The bus might have rammed the lorry as the driver felt drowsy at the time of the accident. Venugopal of Prakasam district died on way to hospital. Sixteen people sustained minor injuries. The driver escaped from the spot. A case has been booked and investigating is on.
