‘Good Future for Music in New State’

VIJAYAWADA: District collector M Raghunandan Rao expressed confidence over the future of music and termed the establishment of ‘Kala Neerajanam’ at Vijayawada as a good sign for the new state.

Speaking at the ‘Kala Neerajanam’ singing competitions at Thumallapalli Kalakshetram Sunday, he said, “Every one can speak while only some can sing. Getting an opportunity to sing devotional songs is a great boon.” As many as 23 troops participated in the event, of which majority performed devotional and traditional songs.

The event was jointly organized by Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam (TTD), Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad, Sri Venkateswara Nruthya Kalasala and Sri Venkateswara Bhakti channel.
