VISAKHAPATNAM: A 14-year-old boy was beaten to death by his drunkard father at their residence in Settibalijavari Veedhi near Peda Waltair in Visakhapatnam Monday. The accused fled after bashing up his son who died on the spot. The MVP Zone police are on the look out for the accused.
The police said that the accused, A Nookaraju, is a mason and was a habitual drunkard. He reportedly picked quarrels with his family members over petty issues and bashed up his sons.
On Monday evening, he returned home drunk and finding his elder son Sai Kumar alone at home, beat him to pulp for complaining to his mother about his drinking.
Though Sai Kumar ran out, Nookaraju chased and beat him up again. After realising that Sai Kumar was severely injured, Nookaraju fled. Even before the locals could shift the boy to hospital, he succumbed to injuries.
