Drunkard Kills Son

VISAKHAPATNAM: A 14-year-old boy was beaten to death by his drunkard father at their home in Settibalijavari Veedhi at Peda Waltair in Visakhapatnam Monday. The accused fled after bashing up his son who died on the spot. The MVP Zone police are on the lookout for him.

Police said that the accused, A Nookaraju, a mason, is a habitual drunkard.  He reportedly picked quarrels with the family over petty issues and thrashed his sons. Monday evening, Nookaraju returned home drunk and found his elder son Sai Kumar alone at home. He started beating him up for complaining to his mother about his boozing. When Sai Kumar ran out, Nookaraju chased him and beat him to pulp.
