HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to cancel the contract awarded for supply of high-security number plates for motor vehicles.
Transport minister Siddha Raghava Rao said here on Wednesday that the government had found flaws in the contract and wanted to rectify them. “After making necessary changes in the contract, the government will award the contract to the transport department for implementation. I have asked APSRTC, the nodal agency for implementation, for a report on the status of the project. After receiving the report, the government will take a final call on it,” he said.
