Man Attempts Suicide Near AP CM Chandrababu Naidu Office

A 45-year-old man from Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh today attempted suicide near Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's Camp Office here, police said.

Chief Minister's Office, said quoting doctors.

The victim was rushed to NIMS Hospital after he consumed some poisonous substance by mixing it with cold-drink. He was given immediate first aid at the hospital.

Doctors have taken samples of the substance and are examining it, the release said.

Punjagutta Police, who are investigating the matter said Gangula Appa seemed to be in possession of agricultural land, though, he was not having patta (land ownership document) and was awaiting the same from the revenue department.

"As he was not given the document, he wanted to meet the Chief Minister in this regard during visiting hours today, when he tried to end his own life," they said.
