In case of his wife Bhuvaneswari, the total assets stood at ` 46.88 crore and total liabilities stood at ` 16.28 crore. The net assets were ` 30.59 crore. He heaped praises over the management of Heritage, which has grown from strength to strength in last 22 years following principles and ethics, he implemented as its mentor during first couple of years.

“When business is done properly, it will help the people at large”,  he said while insisting on systematic work discipline among individually as well as the party as a whole. He said it was he who had introduced the concept of Ethics Committee and started divulging assets in 1999, which was later picked up by Central government and Election Commission of India during 2004.

Reiterating his commitment to women empowerment, Naidu said for years he had encouraged his wife to manage Heritage Foods and said he was very proud of her achievements. He  also encouraged his son and daughter-in-law to get good education and be their own persons. “Same principles and discipline are followed in TDP,” he  stressed.

However, the values of the personal assets disclosed by the AP Chief Minister were acquisition costs and not the present market values. It was said in the note given to media on the occasion that the market values differ from time to time, hence they were not indicated.
