Vijayawada: Traffic will be diverted for vehicles coming into Vijayawada from other cities between September 25 to October 3 as part of the ongoing arrangements being made for the Dasara festival at Kanaka Durga temple atop Indrakeeladri in the city

Heavy vehicles

■ Vehicles from Chennai to Hyd will be diverted at Ongole through Medharametla, Addanki, Dachepalli, Miryalaguda and enter NH-9 at Narketpalli.

■ Hyd to Chennai vehicles will be diverted at Narketpalli through Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Dachepalli.

■ Kolkata to Hyd vehicles will be diverted at Hanuman Junction and reach Hyd through Nuzvid, Visaannapet, Tiruvuru, Kalluru, Khammam.

■ Hyd to V’wada vehicles will be diverted at Ibrahimpatnam through Mylavaram, Chandrala, Nuzvid, Hanuman Junction, Gannavaram to reach V’wada through NH-5.

■ Vehicles to Hyd from Repalle and Tenali will be diverted at Mangalagiri and Tenali by-pass and will reach Hyd through Guntur, Sattenapalli, Piduguralla and Dachepalli.

■ Vehicles to Hyd from Chirala, Bapatla and Ponnuru will be diverted at Budampadu junction and reach Hyd through Sattenapalli, Piduguralla, Dachepalli, Miryalaguda and Narketpalli.

For four-wheelers and two-wheelers

■ Private buses and cars from Chennai, Machilipatnam, Eluru to Hyd will be permitted up to Bandhar Lakulu and will be diverted at Police Control Room through Low bridge, Gadda Bomma, KR Market, BRP road, King Plaza, VG Chowk, Chittinagar, Sorangam, Sithara Center, Vidhyadharapuram and will enter NH-9 at Gollapudi by-pass to reach Hyderabad.

■ Private cars and vehicles from Hyd to Chennai, Machilipatnam, Eluru will be permitted up to Gollapudi and diverted through Gollapudi bypass Road, Sithara junction, Kabela center, Flyover, Milk Project, Chittinagar, Frizerpet bridge, Kedareswarpet, CWC godowns, Sitannapet gate, BRTS road, Food junction, Padaval Revu, Gunadala, Ramvarapadu Ring and enter NH-5 to reach Chennai, Machiliptnam and Eluru.

■ Vehicles banned on the Ghat Road during Dasara Mahotsavams. Also lorries carrying grass banned from entering Vijayawada from Sept 25 to Oct 3. Except vehicles which have permission, no other vehicle will be allowed towards Durga temple from Vinayaka temple.
