'She Can't Commit Suicide'

VIJAYAWADA: Soon after hearing the news of the death of his daughter Y Naga Satya Bhargavi, an eighth class student of the Ravindra Bharati School who allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the school building here on Tuesday, his father Y Naga Rama Rao brushed aside the school’s suicide version.

Rama Rao, who is a teacher at a government school, said that his daughter was a brilliant student both in academics and sports and had no reason to commit suicide as she was also a brave child.

It is said that Naga Bhargavi for the past few days had been facing discrimination at school from some teachers leading to mental stress and this could have forced her to take the extreme step. Patamata police have registered a case under IPC section 174 (unnatural death) and took up investigation.
