Concept Films Contest: Last Date Extended

VISAKHAPATNAM:  In the wake of requests from contestants, the Eastern Power Distribution Corporation Limited (EPDCL) has decided to extend the last date for submission of entries for the Concept Films Contest being conducted by it, till October 15. Participants who had already submitted their entries can resubmit their entries if desired and the latest entry will be considered for evaluation.

For promotion of awareness among the public and students on ‘Electrical Safety’ and ‘Energy Conservation Measures - Solar Energy’, the EPDCL is organising the Concept Films Contest.

To qualify for the contest, participants should make a short film the duration of which should be between 40 and 60 seconds.

There is no entry fee and animation films will also be considered. Quality in making and concept presentation will be the main criteria for awarding prizes.

Cash prizes for the top three films will be `50,000, `30,000 and `20,000 respectively, while consolation prizes of `10,000 also will be awarded for select films. Certificates will be issued to all the participants.
