'Augmented Reality' Helps Brands Engage with Consumers

HYDERABAD:  Brands have multiple platforms to reach consumers. Print ads, television commercials, posters, store displays, billboards and the list goes on. 

It’s this ‘excess’ digital content that startup firm Wowsome seeks to simplify and cash in on.

Founded by Vishal Reddy and Karan Bhangay, Wowsome processes and transforms content in an interactive visual pattern in order to take consumer’s experience with brands to a next level.

“These pop ups will not interrupt consumers but provide relevant situation-based content urging the consumer to share it with their friends and family,” said Vishal.

The idea is to enhance the routine advertisements with related videos, quick links to social media sites, call-to-action buttons like enquiry, buy or share and facilitating deals with coupon codes and discounts.

The firm seeks to lead offline audience to online media with a hyper-immersive and hyper-targeted experience, while readers will benefit with instant access to relevant videos, photographs, references, deals and orders on the feature or advertisement they are reading.

The Augmented Reality technology provided by Wowsome is a revolutionary advertising medium and is being widely used globally.

The company has already tied up with 50 national and global brands including L’oreal Paris India, OMEGA Watches, Apollo Hospitals, Being human, Aston Martin, The Collective, Ballantines, Jaguar, Budweiser and others. The company has already seen investments of over $0.5 million and is in dialogue with investors to raise capital.
