VISAKHAPATNAM: SHOWERS set a good mood for Vizagites to spend their weekend with family and friends in the city on Sunday. The sudden spell of rain was well taken by the youngsters who took a long drive along the Beach Road.  Some places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh received heavy rainfall, bringing down the night temperatures.

According to the Cyclone Warning Centre,  under the influence of an upper air cyclonic circulation over east-central and adjoining northwest and west-central Bay of Bengal, a low pressure area has formed over northeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining northwest and east-central Bay of Bengal.” Associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends up to 4.5 km above the mean sea level. The trough runs from Odisha to south Tamil Nadu across Coastal Andhra Pradesh persists.

Heavy to very heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next two-three days.
